Hawkeye Spotlight – October 6

Oftentimes, many high school sports don’t get the recognition they deserve. All the sweat, blood, tears, and joy make the time worth it. Once high school is over, you never get a moment quite like this. In our third edition of “Hawkeye Spotlight” we highlight some of the most versatile students in our athletics programs.

 

Boys Soccer – Trenton Prince

  • Trent has been playing soccer for 7+ years.

  • He’s been on varsity for 2 years.

  • During his free time, he enjoys hanging out with friends.

  • Over the years he has gotten a total of 6 honor roles and 1 principal’s award.

 

Boys Cross Country – Carson McIntire

  • Has a PR of 17:02.

  • Runs Varisty for Track and Cross Country.

  • Named to the Honor Roll in 9th,10th, and 11th, grade.

  • Was a State Finalist in Swim & Dive in 10th and 11th grade.

 

 

Girls Cross Country – Jenna Dozeman

  • Jenna’s best time this year for the girls cross country team was 23:50.

  • This is her first year of cross country in high school and she made Varsity.

  • Runs track in the spring and was a part of the relay team that made state.

  • In her free time, Jenna enjoys hanging out with friends, hiking, and shopping.

 

Boys Tennis- Dylan Loew

  • Dylan has been on the varsity roster since freshman year. 

  • He also plays baseball for Hamilton in the spring, his position is 1st base and pitcher.   

  • Dylan plays 4th singles and is currently undefeated with a record of (19-0-1).      

  • Dylan also made the honor roll team. 

 

 

Football- Max Brink 

  • Max has been a varsity starter for two years.

  • His position is currently right tackle and strong-side defensive end.

  • Things Max tends to do in his free time include hanging out with friends, doing stuff with his family, and even helping out around the community.

  • One thing about Max is he is known for being a funny guy but, he is also a very hard worker overall. After high school, he plans to work in a successful construction business with his dad.

 

 

Girls Swim and Dive – Lydia Lucas

  • Lydia has swam on the team since her freshman year.

  • She has swam in 12 swimming events.

  • This year will be her third year that she has qualified for state.

  • Something cool Lydia does is she runs the Hamilton swim and Dive account on Instagram.

 

 

Volleyball – Kaitlyn Geurink

  • She’s a Junior on varsity.

  • Since Kailyn has been playing Volleyball in Highschool she has been on the Varsity team since Freshman year.

  • Middle Hitter is her primary position.

  • She has been on an absolute killing spree averaging 7 kills a game.

 

 

Girls Golf –  Audrey VanBeukering

  • At Western Greens Golf Course on September 25th, she shot a season-best 48.

  • She has competed in every OK-Blue Jamboree match this season.

  • As a member of the golf team for 2 years, she started playing because she enjoyed doing so with her family.

  • She has an outstanding GPA of 4.062.
