Winter brings us all trouble’s and challenges, but it also bring opportunities to be a part of something involving others. The Girls Varsity Basketball team bean to peak, while growth and recognition rises drastically. Intensifying tasks to become unrecognizable, to become the person you’ve always wanted to be. Scratches, bruises, bumps, blood, and scars are valued treasure knowing you got them from participating in something extraordinary.
One of the most challenging questions can be answered with my composition writing, explaining what it really means to push yourself into becoming something jarring. How can someone know when they should start pushing themselves? Answers from Hamilton Girls Varsity Basketball team, will all be clarified.
Some people may question what it really means to push someone. In reality, you are pushing someone for their benefit. So you can watch them become a stronger player and seeing them be able to exceed to their limits. Pushing someone obviously doesn’t mean “Pushing” someone. What it really means is that you are wanting to see their full potential, and you want them to feel self-righteous and proud of themselves after the work they put in to triumph. Encouraging and motivating your teammates is what makes your team, a working team.
Another question people tend to ask is, “How do you push yourself?” Former Varsity Basketball Girl Leah Brink may have answers for you. “I push myself by being consistent and always working hard to reach my goals.” She is not wrong, consistency is key. The more consistent you are with yourself, the more you will see yourself grow. Growth is something you will see everywhere, physical and mental growth. Once you start pushing yourself, you need to stay consistent to notice any change. Without consistency, you will feel the same way about yourself from the very beginning.
Pushing yourself can make you feel great, but it can also make you feel stressed at some moments in time. Depending on who you are, pushing yourself can either hurt you, or make you into the best version of yourself. “How can pushing yourself make you feel?” Leah brink adds on and says, ” When I push myself harder and harder it helps me feel way more prepared, and it also helps me contribute more in games.”
Even though its scary and nerve wracking to begin pushing yourself, it all ends up playing out in the end. Not only do you feel impressed with yourself, you’ll also see mental/physical changes as well. Every one in a while you have to step out of your comfort zone, pushing/motivating yourself will help you way more than you may think. Stay consistent, and you’ll notice positive changes. One of life’s biggest challenges is your own mind, and how it can affect you. Tell yourself you can do it, and you will. Tell yourself you can’t do it, and you wont. It’s as simple as that, listen to the positives rather than the negatives.
