All About Evan Kraker

Evan Kraker of the Hamilton Boys Cross Country team is a Hamilton High School senior. He has been running cross country every year since 6th grade. Evan was on varsity all 4 years of high school. His 7 years of running experience have helped him become a very good leader and role model for the rest of the team. He has been a very successful runner because of his work ethic and his can-do attitude. He is planning on running his first 2 years in college, and hoping that if everything goes according to plan, he can run all of his 4 years in college.

Evan’s favorite memory from his cross-country career was when he and his team made state during his sophomore year. He said, “Going to state was a really cool  accomplishment and memory that I’ll never forget.”

Cross Country has helped Evan to become a great leader who leads by example. He stated cross country has allowed him to “grow as a person and a leader because it’s something I’m passionate about and it allows me to be a leader to my younger teammates.”

Running cross country has also taught Evan that you should always give full effort because when you do, the hard work will pay off even when it’s not when you expect it to. Overall Evan has had a very successful running career and is very happy that he made the choice to begin running in 6th grade because of all the lessons that running has taught him.

Evans all time PR is 17 minutes and 2 seconds. He set this PR at the Allendale invite this season. Evan’s average finish time was 17 minutes and 45 seconds through 9 races this season. The time of 17:02 leaves Evan in 5th place on the team and just outside the top 15 in Hamilton History. Overall Evan has been a very solid runner for the team all 4 years and a great leader to help the younger runners.
