Zach Bain: Dedication in the Offseason
By: Luke Hernandez
I went to multiple swim meets this year. There was always one swimmer who stood out at each meet, and that was Zach Bain.
I personally have participated in other sports with Zach Bain for the past couple of years, and I can confidently say that his unwavering dedication to his sport is what propels him above the rest.
During track practice, he would often talk about his swim practice he had later that day or earlier in the day, and it was quite inspiring to see someone so committed to their sport.
When asked how he prepared for the 25-26 season, he stated, “I did a lot of off-season practices, and it really helped me get faster than my competition.”
Zach definitely lives a demanding lifestyle because of his constant work to get better, as he has been swimming competitively for many years now.
As a sophomore, getting a state cut is not easy. Here’s what Zach has to say about his state cuts: “Last year I was extremely close, and I knew this year I had a pretty good shot. My coaches and teammates helped keep me motivated throughout the off-season.”
Whether it be in cross country, track, or swimming, Zach is sure to give 110% all the time.
