The Hamilton Girls Golf team has had their ups and downs throughout the season. The girl’s relationships with each other kept the team’s determination and spirit up. The players who started with one or two friends were able to make the entire golf team into a group of friends on and off the field. The team’s growing friendships were able to influence their spirit through the goods and bads of the season.
Over the course of the season there are many goods and bads. Some bigger than others like getting stuck in a bunker or setting a new record. No matter what it would be, the girls golf team does a good job of supporting each other.
One player mentioned that ‘we started off the season and everyone had their person. As the season went on we became a group of friends and there never felt like there was a divide in the team’. The team being undivided is important. It boosts the morale of the team and creates better on field performance.
The team’s good spirit and warm attitude made them approachable by players of other teams as well. Over all the girls golf team was able to grow their friendships and give a good look for the school on the golf course.

Unfortunately the girls golf season is over, however the players of the team can still be seen walking with each other in the halls, talking and laughing. Over the time of the season the team created a strong friendship that doesn’t end on the course.
At the end of the season the beat reporters for girls golf sent out a survey, one of the questions was best teammate. The idea of the best teammate award was to show other people who can support their team and be the representative of the team.
This year that award went to Dani Wedevin. For her job in unifying the girls golf team through the season and making everyone feel like friends. Her positive attitude supported the team and kept hopes for the season high.
