What happened: The boys swim and dive team lost a close one to a tough combined zeeland team.
What does this mean: The boys swim and dive team fell to a combined zeeland east and zee;and west team with a much larger roster
Key player: Landen maatman takes second in the 100 backstroke with a time of 58.59 scoring 4 points for the team, setting an all time record for himself and qualifying for the state tournament
They said : “It was a very close meet in the end. I think all of our guys did very well and obviously it was cool to make the state cut.”
What’s next: The hawkeyes will travel to grand rapids to swim at Venema aquatic center for the very tough MISCA meet in hopes to have more state qualifiers and win the whole tournament. Be sure to support your hawkeyes February 9-10 in grand rapids.
