What Happened: The Hamilton Hawkeyes traveled through the snowy conditions to get to Allendale where they displayed a great amount of shooting along with some solid defense to defeat the Allendale Falcons 66-55.
What this means: The Hawkeyes now have a record of 6-2.
Key Players: Justin Mcilwain dominated the whole game posting 32 points and 4 steals along with James Hoffman scoring 16 points.
They said it: “We played one of our best games offensively so far and hit many shots that gave us a pretty good lead for most of the game. Then late in the game we were able to maintain possession and hit free throws to put the game away.”-Gabe Schrotenboer.
What’s next: The Hawkeyes of Hamilton will play against the Broncos of Coopersville in an exciting rematch of last year’s conference championship game. Tip off will be at approximately 7:30 P.M on Thursday, January 11, 2024.
