Ever since freshman year, the junior doubles partners, Reece Carlson and Aiden Hamlin have been a very powerful duo on the tennis courts.
The two had a record of 19-2 this season and earned their way to Regionals and State for the second year in a row.
Carlson and Hamlin have been friends since Middle School and have both been playing tennis for around 4 years.
I got the chance to ask Carlson in an interview how he thinks their friendship off the court helps the two of them on the court.
“A lot of times we can tell what each other needs and we know what we need to do to win the point. We always try to stay positive, it helps to keep our energy up,” Carlson said.
Carlson and Hamlin have been extremely successful this season and when asked what Hamlin thinks makes them successful he explained that…
“Because we are such good friends, it helps us to communicate better and just be better all together.”
They know each other’s strengths and weaknesses and how to work around them, it’s what makes them a powerful team.
