On Tuesday, the Hawkeye Volleyball team is back in the nest for a redemption match.

The Hamilton Hawkeyes are scheduled to play a rivalry game against the Holland Christian Maroons on October 3rd. The last time the Maroons and Hawkeyes faced each other, the Hawkeyes lost a hard-fought game, finishing with a final score of Holland Christian 3 and Hamilton 1.

The Hawkeyes are currently ranked 60th in the state while the Maroons are ranked 34th. Hamilton has a record of 8-5-1. Holland Christian will come into this game with a record of 14-6-2.

The Hawkeyes played the Falcons on Tuesday, September 26. The girls fought hard against the Falcons, but fell short with a final score of 3-0. On the same day, the Maroons played the Fruitport Trojans and defeated them 3-1.

The Hawkeyes are currently sixth within the OK Blue Conference League with a 2-3 record. The Maroons are currently standing in first place in the OK Blue Conference League with an 8-1 record.

When the Hawkeyes played Allendale last week Tuesday they had a very good defensive effort. For their serve receive stats they had 64.5 attempts and only 6 errors, and they also had 56.5 digs.

The girls struggled a little more with offensive plays. Their serving stats, they had 14 aces, 10 errors, and 85 attempts. They struggled with sideouts having won 37 and lost 34 of them. They had 37.5 kills when hitting, 18 errors, and 115 attempts.

The game on Tuesday will be very interesting. The Hawkeyes have played fewer games so they could be struggling with being a team, but the Maroons having played more games could be tired, so it could go either way. Either way, a rivalry will be renewed on Tuesday.
