Who is Tristan Patch? Tristan is a varsity soccer player and has been on the soccer team for the last two years. He is a junior. He typically plays striker or center-back. He says his favorite thing about playing soccer is the way the team comes together like a family. His biggest supporter is his stepdad, Larry, because “he goes to every game that he possibly can, no matter how busy, and he pushes me to always do my best.”
Tristan says his pregame ritual is that at halftime of the JV game, he, Drew Bierschbach, and Justin Stark kick long balls to each other barefoot across the field. Typically, after a game, he will go home and eat lots of food. His favorite food to eat after a game is toast with butter.
His other interests include playing music. He plays the alto saxophone and the piano. He enjoys the piano more but plans on continuing to play his saxophone after high school street performances. He hopes to be able to play any music you put in front of him on the piano. He is also currently learning the guitar.
In the off-season, he goes to summer practices, and in the winter, he plays indoor soccer. To stay in shape, Tristan also runs track and continues to run throughout the summer. In the spring of this year, he hopes to play on a USA team with his friend. He enjoys indoors because it is much faster-paced than outdoors and makes him think more on his feet.
In the future, his goal is to play soccer in college while earning his teaching degree in mathematics. He doesn’t know what college he wants to go to yet, but he will continue to look at his options and decide what fits him the best with soccer and, more importantly, his future in teaching.
In conclusion, Tristan works hard year-round and will continue to work hard to achieve his goals of one day playing in college and becoming a teacher.
